By creating a Rubuz account or using the Rubuz website, you agree to these terms and to all applicable laws and regulations.
The service
Rubuz is a server management and deployment platform run from the web. You connect servers that you own or rent, and Rubuz manages them on your instruction over SSH: deploying apps, running backups, applying updates and monitoring resources. Your servers, and the applications and data on them, remain yours.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything done in your account, including by people you invite. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Your servers
By connecting a server, you confirm that you are entitled to give Rubuz access to it. You remain responsible for your server provider account, the software and content you run, and complying with your provider’s terms. You can withdraw Rubuz’s access to a server at any time by removing it from Rubuz or deleting Rubuz’s key from the server.
Acceptable use
You may not use Rubuz to connect servers you are not authorized to manage, to run software that is unlawful or that harms others, or to interfere with the Rubuz service or other customers.
Intellectual property
The Rubuz service, website and materials are protected by copyright and trademark law. Unless stated otherwise, all content is the property of Rubuz. You may not copy, reverse-engineer or resell the service.
Trial, plans and billing
- Trial: new accounts start with a 14-day free trial. No payment details are needed to start it.
- Plans: every plan includes every feature; plans differ in how many servers an account can manage.
- Billing: paid plans renew each month or year until you cancel. Payments are handled by our merchant of record, whose terms also apply to your purchase.
- Ending a plan: if a trial or paid period ends without payment, your account is locked until you subscribe. Apps already running on your servers keep running.
- Refunds: refunds follow the refund policy shown at the time of purchase.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Rubuz and its partners are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service. Your servers run on infrastructure you control, and Rubuz is not responsible for your server provider’s downtime, data loss on your servers, or configuration and security issues outside the Rubuz service. Keep backups configured for anything you cannot afford to lose.
Termination
You can stop using Rubuz at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. When an account is closed, Rubuz’s access to its servers ends and the apps on them keep running.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change matters, we tell account owners by email before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Rubuz operates.
