Deploying Apps & Databases
Application Stacks
Deploying Apps & Databases from Git or Docker
How to deploy your own code from GitHub or a Docker image, add open-source apps from the catalog, and run databases beside them.
Rubuz makes deploying high-traffic applications straightforward. Every application is configured in an isolated user namespace container.
Deploying Apps
There are two ways to put an app on your server:
- Your code: connect a GitHub repository and deploy a Next.js, Astro or Go app with
git push, or run a Docker image from Docker Hub or GHCR. - Open-source apps: install one from the catalog.
Every app gets:
- Its own rootless container, isolated from the other apps on the server.
- Automatic SSL through Traefik as soon as its domain points at the server.
- Persistent volumes for its data, included in your backups.
Deploying Databases
You can deploy standalone database instances or shared multi-tenant instances:
- Go to your server in Rubuz.
- Under Databases, click Create Database.
- Choose MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
- Rubuz generates random high-entropy passwords and manages connection pooling automatically.
Health Monitoring & Restarts
Every stack comes with automatic health checks. If an application encounters an out-of-memory exception or hangs, Rubuz restarts the container and alerts your configured webhook or email.
